Service:

Start now and at login: brew services start vlmcsd
Run directly: $HOMEBREW_PREFIX/opt/vlmcsd/bin/vlmcsd -i $HOMEBREW_PREFIX/etc/vlmcsd/vlmcsd.ini -D
The default port is 1688

To configure vlmcsd, edit
    $HOMEBREW_PREFIX/etc/vlmcsd/vlmcsd.ini
After changing the configuration, please restart vlmcsd
    launchctl unload $HOMEBREW_PREFIX/opt/vlmcsd/sh.brew.vlmcsd.plist
    launchctl load $HOMEBREW_PREFIX/opt/vlmcsd/sh.brew.vlmcsd.plist
Or, if you don't want/need launchctl, you can just run:
    brew services restart vlmcsd
